2 Sienna, Tuscany : On our fourth day in Florence we took a bus to central Tuscany, to a smaller, quiter town called Sienna. There was no real destination which was great. We just wandered.

9 Parmigiano Reggiano + Balsamic Vinegar Tours : We got up at 8 and skipped breakfast to make our appointment 30min away with "Mr. Giovanni". He met us at Cavazonne, a farm turned winery turned Bed and Breakfast. Mr. Giovanni offered us breakfast at this, his, B&B because we were originally to stay here, but was booked. It was him that suggested the Sarzano Castle. After treating us to breakfast we followed him on his K12RS out to a cheese factory 10 minues away. He gave us the full tour as if he owned the place, he didn't.

8 Ride to Salzano Castle : We left Puertovenere in rain. It took us a while to find the interstate, and we stopped to get Janine some rubber boots. We found the interstate after a half hour but when we did, it was only 8 miles then back off to head up and over a pass. We stopped at the top to have an expresso, and by the time we were halfway back down the other side the sun started peeking through. We got to the 1000yr old a little early, so after having lunch in nearby Casina, we decided to go visit the Ferrari museum. We took the long way back, and were even able to spot our castle from a hill a few miles away. We got back, walked around in what remained of the castle, then had the best dinner of our lives.
